Face painting works well for birthday parties, school events, church celebrations, company picnics, employee and customer appreciation events, grand openings, festivals, fairs, fundraisers, holiday celebrations and community events. If you have something different in mind, tell us about it. Chances are we can help.

Face painting is popular with children of many ages, and we often find that older kids and even adults want to join the fun too. Very young children should be comfortable sitting still and having someone work near their face. We never want a child to feel pressured to participate.

We don’t need a huge amount of room, but a comfortable area for the artist, supplies and guest seating is important. When you book, tell us about your venue and available space and we can help determine an appropriate setup.

Yes. Outdoor events can work very well for face painting. A covered or shaded area is strongly preferred so the artist, guests and supplies are protected from direct sun and changing weather conditions. If your event is outdoors, let us know when you request availability.

If your event is outdoors, we recommend having a covered area or backup plan whenever possible. Rain, high winds, excessive heat or other unsafe conditions may affect an outdoor setup. Contact us as early as possible if weather becomes a concern so we can discuss the available options for your event.

The number of guests that can be painted depends on the amount of time available, the complexity of the requested designs and the number of artists working at the event.

When requesting availability, give us your best estimate of how many children or guests may participate. We can then help determine an appropriate amount of painting time or whether additional artists may be helpful for a larger event.

Absolutely. Choosing what to become is part of the fun. Available designs may vary depending on the event, the number of guests waiting and the amount of time available. At larger events we may use quicker designs so more guests have an opportunity to participate.

We can often incorporate colors, themes and design ideas that complement your celebration. If you are planning a princess party, superhero event, school celebration, holiday event or another special theme, tell us about it when you book.

You are welcome to tell us about designs or ideas you would like to see at your event. Because face painting is created by hand and every guest is different, exact reproductions cannot always be guaranteed, but we will do our best to create something fun that fits the idea.

That’s perfectly fine. Some children prefer smaller designs around the eye, cheek, forehead or another limited area. Participation should always be comfortable and enjoyable for the guest.

Guests or parents should let the artist know about known skin sensitivities, allergies or other concerns before participating.

Face painting should not be applied over open cuts, sores, rashes, irritated skin or other areas where painting would be inappropriate. If there is any uncertainty, it may be better for the guest to choose another activity.

Face paint can generally be removed with warm water and a gentle cleanser. Avoid aggressive scrubbing, especially around the eyes. Some highly pigmented colors may take an additional wash to disappear completely.

Yes, larger events can be planned differently than a small birthday party. Let us know the expected attendance, event duration and how important it is for a large number of guests to participate. Depending on the event, we may recommend additional painting time, quicker design options or additional artists.

We recommend checking availability as soon as you know your event date, especially for weekends, holidays and busy community-event seasons. Last-minute bookings may still be possible, so it never hurts to ask.

Our primary service area is Bakersfield and the surrounding Kern County communities. If your event is outside Bakersfield, send us the event location and we will let you know about availability and any applicable travel requirements.
